Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enters Into Business Alliance with Iconomy

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that it has established a formal business alliance with Iconomy Multi-Media & Entertainment. The partnership will allow Iconomy to bring greater exposure to the Basketball Hall of Fame and grow its marketing partnerships portfolio. Since opening its doors in 1959, the Hall has operated as a non-profit organization that receives support from philanthropists, fans of the game and corporate partners to honor and celebrate the greatest players and moments of the game including all levels of basketball – professional, collegiate, international and high school, for both men and women.

They understand how to create business opportunities for legacy brands and athletes and the impact our institution has on the game of basketball, not only in North America, but around the world,” said John L. Based in Torrance, California, Iconomy has worked with many legends of the game to help develop their success and personal brands after their days on the hardwood – often in the form of books, product endorsements, licensing, documentaries, digital media which includes the development of social media sites, podcasts and columns, as well as speaking tours. Their clients include Basketball Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton, among others. In 2015, founder and CEO Deborah Morales served as the Executive Producer of the HBO documentary “Minority of One” chronicling the life and career of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
