‘Ban the Slam’

Featuring Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Glenn Howerton

Kareem is the Blueprint

Kareem’s height and skill were a rare combination that had not been seen in college basketball before. Kareem amassed numerous championships and remains the all-time points leader in NBA history. He is “The Blueprint”. Considered to be one of Kareem’s strengths by rivals, the slam dunk was banned from college basketball in 1967.

In the ‘Ban the Slam’ mockumentary, basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bobby “The Bounce Pass” Mitchowski, played by Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Glenn Howerton, shed light on the controversial ruling.
