Officials in Minot on Saturday named the basketball courts at a local park in his honor. The Minot Daily News reports (Link) that Brown was on hand for the ceremony, along with U.S. Sen. John Hoeven and U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer. Brown told the crowd that when he was growing up in Minot, there weren’t any outdoor basketball courts. He said he and others would sneak into a church basement where they would shoot baskets.
